Front Desk Associate/Shuttle Driver

Job Summary: Responsible for representing the hotel throughout all stages of the guest’s stay to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care, including registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests and ensuring guests have a pleasant stay and a smooth checkout.
Drives guest to and from airport, area businesses and other locations, as required.

Essential Functions:

? Reliable attendance and presence at work.
? Strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations and rules.
? Diligently maintain accurate inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments while processing same day and future reservations as needed.
? Attentively assist in resolving guest complaints in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
? Frequently coordinate room status updates with housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.
? Regularly assist maintenance department with coordination of guest room maintenance work.
? Ability to respond to, and assist guests with specific needs in a timely manner.
? Willing and able to assists guests with specific needs or inquiries in a friendly and timely manner.
? Safely transport guests to and from the airport and other locations, while demonstrating all common courtesies and obeying driving and traffic laws.
? Regularly cleans shuttle van for optimal guest experience.
? Responsible for checking and monitoring all mechanical and safety equipment on shuttle van to confirm in good working order, and immediately alerting management if not.
? Safely assist guests load heavy luggage and packages into shuttle van, sometimes up to 75 lbs.
? Performs other duties as assigned by management on an as needed basis.

Knowledge and Skills:

? Previous hotel-related customer service experience preferred.
? Ability to communicate effectively with guests, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.
? Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. Able to properly secure guest information.
- Ability to learn safety, emergency and accident prevention policies and procedures.
? Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

? Skilled in the use of front office equipment and proper telephone etiquette.
? Knowledge of surrounding areas and events.
? Must maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.

Work Environment:

? Frequent exposure to outside area requiring the use of weather appropriate attire.
? Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend and twist as needed. Requires walking on non-level surfaces, inside and outside the office, throughout the day.
? Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
? Ability to work long hours, and overtime, as needed.
? Must be able to safely drive a shuttle van.

Required Qualifications:
? Valid Driver's License.
? Must have a clean driving record with no disqualifying traffic violations.
? High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
