Primary Objective of Position 

  

To
provide quality service to hotel restaurant customers by providing prompt and
courteous food and beverage service. YOU
ARE REQUIRED TO LEARN THE GUESTS NAME AND USE IT THROUGHOUT ANY PHONE OR PERSON
TO PERSON INTERACTION
 

  

Major Areas of Accountability 

  

1) Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing
exceptional service and teamwork
 

· Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable
and possible to meet or
 

· exceed customer expectations 

· Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors 

· Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed 

· Handles difficult situations effectively 

· Meets service standards 

· Performs other duties as required to provide exceptional service and
teamwork
 

· Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds for short distances required 

   

 2) Provides
prompt, courteous service by bussing, serving, and setting tables
 

· Accurately records, pre-checks, and picks-up all food and beverage
orders
 

· Serves customers their food and beverage orders in prompt and courteous
manner
 

· Sets tables as needed prior to customer arrival  

  

 3) Contributes
to customer satisfaction by attending to restaurant customer needs
 

· Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information
to respond to customer questions in these areas as required
 

· Informs host/hostess or manager of any customer dissatisfaction 

  

 4) Adheres
to hotel policies and procedures
 

· Attends work on time as scheduled 

· Follows hotel grooming and dress standards 

· Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures 

  

 5) Keeps
immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual
matters of significance
 

  

 6) Performs
all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance
with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall
objectives of this position
 

  

 7) Maintains
a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and
promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
 

  

8) At all times projects a favorable image of Bartell Hotels to the public
 

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

In addition to the above Major
Areas of Accountability, other duties may be assigned as needed in order to
ensure the Guest Service standards 
 

  

  

Physical Demands  

While performing the
duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use
hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and
taste or smell.
 The employee is
frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The
employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  

  

Work Environment  

While performing the
duties of this Job, the employee is sometimes exposed to outside weather
conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The
noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
