As an Engineer you are responsible to assist the Chief of Engineering on all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. The role involves maintaining all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, including heating and ventilation and will include key responsibilities such as:

  • Manage the overall services provided within the facility ensuring that, power, water and air condition are well-maintenance
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments
  • Drafting reports and making written recommendations
  • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should hold a degree in a related qualification in Engineering, management or a relevant professional qualification. Relevant experience as facilities manager in Hotel, Residences and Offices buildings, including technical skills related to buildings and property as well as skills working in a management position.

 Additional Skills

  • You must have the ability to manage a varied and complex workload and also have technical knowledge of building services, and have the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Problem-solving is an essential skill as there will be times when things don’t go to as planned.
