Job Description

The Aiden hotel in Berkeley is looking for a new part-time team member who can help us in the housekeeping department and at the front desk. We are specifically looking for an experienced housekeeper or houseperson who likes to get trained to also work as Front Desk Agent.

Responsibilities Housekeeping
•    Operates washing machine and dryer
•    Fold laundry
•    Cleans lobby and all other public areas
•    Prepares breakfast orders if needed
•    Thoroughly clean all assigned rooms within prescribed Brand Standard guidelines
•    Communicate status of cleaned rooms to Housekeeping Supervisor
•    Reports any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately, listing the room number or area where the item was found
•    Reports any damaged or missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor
•    Reports exceptional and/or unusual circumstances, such as no luggage in a stay-over room to the Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities Front Desk
•    Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
•    Manage online and phone reservations
•    Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
•    Register guests collecting necessary information (e.g. contact details and email address)
•    Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
•    Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
•    Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner

Availability
•    Weekdays – Required
•    Weekends – Preferred
